Emergency Services

Our most important responsibility is the protection of American citizens traveling or living abroad.  We can assist in many ways when an American is arrested, stranded, in need of medical referral, or otherwise in need of assistance.

For assistance during regular business hours, 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, except American and Azerbaijani holidays you may call (994 12) 498 0335/6/7.  If there is a life threatening emergency involving an American citizen after hours, you may call the same number and ask for the Duty Officer.  To contact the Office of Overseas Citizens Services in the U.S. call 1-888-407-4747 (during business hours) or 202-647-5225/5226 (after hours).
